FPSO: It is an offshore floating unit integrating production, storage and unloading of oil.FPSO consists of two parts, including the upper block and the hull. The FPSO consists of two parts, including the upper block and the hull, in which the upper block accomplishes the processing of crude oil and the hull is responsible for storing qualified crude oil.

According to the different mooring methods, FPSO can be divided into two categories: multi-point mooring and single-point mooring.FPSO receives oil, gas, water and other mixtures from submarine wells through submarine pipelines, and then the mixtures are processed and treated into qualified crude oil and natural gas. The certified products are stored in the tanks of the vessel and after a certain amount is reached, they are transported to land via a crude oil transfer system, such as a shuttle tanker.

Compared with the “Production Platform/Subsea Production System + Subsea Pipeline” option, the “FPSO + Production Platform/Subsea Production System + Shuttle Tanker” option has stronger oil/gas/water production and processing capacity and crude oil storage capacity; better maneuverability and transportability; and better performance. better maneuverability and transportability; stronger wind and wave resistance, suitable for both shallow and deep sea; more flexible application capability, not only with offshore platforms, but also with underwater production systems, forming a complete all-sea development system.

FSO: FSO is an offshore floating oil storage and offloading unit, which does not have the function of extracting oil compared with FPSO; FSO is an integrated large-scale offshore unit for storing and transporting oil extracted from nearby offshore platforms, treating oily wastewater, generating electricity and heat, as well as integrating personnel residence and production command system.

FLNG: Floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) production, storage and offloading unit is a ship-shaped structural platform for natural gas liquefaction treatment, equipped with natural gas liquefaction unit and LNG storage tanks, etc. The application of FLNG in deep-water can effectively avoid the technical difficulties caused by pipeline laying.

Semi: It is a semi-submersible production unit. Initially, it is a mining unit converted from an existing drilling rig, without the shape of a ship, and has the functions of drilling and mining.

MOPU: is a drilling rig plus extraction unit, usually for shallow water (water depth less than 100 meters), mostly used in the Mediterranean Sea, Southeast Asia, less used in the more severe conditions of the North Sea and Canadian waters.
